Position Summary

We are seeking a versatile and systems-savvy HR Coordinator to support a wide range of human resources and operational functions. This role is a 1099 contractor position that requires a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, while also remaining self-motivated and proactive during slower working periods. The ideal candidate will serve as a direct partner to the HR and operations director, ensuring consistent, high-quality support across all stages of the employee lifecycle, while also driving internal training, system accuracy, and communication excellence. This role will also be developmental in nature, with the ability to acquire skills and experience 


Key Responsibilities

Client & Worker Support

  • Eventually serve as the primary point of contact for a key client, maintaining daily communications to ensure service quality and timely response to needs.

  • Manage time off logisticsequipment returns, and address IT/equipment troubleshooting concerns as they arise.

  • Perform coaching conversations with employees based on client feedback and in alignment with organizational expectations.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support recruitment efforts, including screening and scheduling candidates.

  • Manage pre-employment communications, ensuring clarity and timely follow-ups with applicants.

  • Gather necessary onboarding documentation and ensure all new hires are accurately input into ATS and HRIS platforms.

  • Provide timely completion of compliance items and ensure all required onboarding steps are completed per Greenlight and client protocols.

Training & Development

  • Collaborate on and maintain training documentation, manuals, and process guides to reinforce team and client expectations.

  • Assist with and eventually lead training sessions on best practices for new hires.

  • Identify opportunities for team development and implement training initiatives to promote continuous learning.

Systems & Process Management

  • Utilize HRIS and internal platforms to maintain up-to-date employee data and ensure accurate reporting.

  • Troubleshoot system and access issues in collaboration with IT or relevant vendors.

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements to enhance the overall worker and client experience.


Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of HR coordination or generalist experience, preferably in a client-facing or operationally complex environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS and workforce systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, BambooHR, FG, etc.).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage both internal teams and client relationships effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-taskprioritize, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proficient in document creation and process management, including SOPs, training guides, and manuals.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in an HR service provider, staffing, or client-account-based HR environment.

  • Familiarity with HR, VMS and/or payroll platforms.

  • Comfortable conducting employee performance conversations and delivering feedback constructively.

Location

This is a remote opportunity, open to candidates located within the United States (excluding California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington).

Compensation

Pay is negotiable. Salary range will be discussed during the interview phase.
